Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez visits Israel and Palestine

Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, accompanied by Belgian Prime Minister Alexander de Croo, is visiting Israel and Palestine as part of Spain’s commitment to the resolution of the conflict in the region.

They met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, expressing condolences for recent terrorist attacks and supporting Israel’s right to self-defence.

Sánchez also expressed concern for the situation in Gaza and proposed an international peace conference.

The leaders visited the Kibbutz of Beeri in Jerusalem, one of the locations of the October 7th Hamas led terror attacks in the region.
