PP denies direct contact with Carles Puigdemont, confirms talks with Junts

Borja Sémper, the spokesperson for the PP, has said that he denies any direct contact with the former Catalan regional president Carles Puigdemont, but admits to talks with Junts party officials.

Whilst he stressed the importance of dialogue between parties, he did go on to say that PP would vote against a potential amnesty law in Congress.

Borja Sémper also suggests that any changes in the PP’s leadership will depend on the political scenario they face, while jokingly responding to a question about becoming the next spokesperson in Congress by stating that others in the group may be more capable.
