Storm’s Gérard and Fien are bringing a mass of cold air from the Arctic circle which is resulting in significant snowfall in parts as well as strong winds and heavy rainfall.
Last night 14 amber and two red weather alerts were issued, with most of the Iberian peninsular under weather advisories.
Aragon and Galicia are expected to see the worst of the weather, with high ground due to face disruption from snow and wind, whilst coastal areas could see waves in excess of 9 metres.
Most of the country will see strong winds today, with gusts of up to 100km/h in exposed areas, and coastal areas suffering rough seas.
