Specialist search dogs from Madrid join Jay Slater search efforts.

Specialist search dogs from Madrid have been brought in to assist in locating missing British teenager, Jay Slater, who was last seen in Tenerife’s Masca village on the 17th of June.

19-year-old Slater vanished after attending a festival and embarking on an 11-hour walk to Los Cristianos.

The search operation is now into it’s tenth day, with no sign of the missing tourist.

Meanwhile Guardia Civil officers involved in the search have unexpectedly come to the rescue of a Scottish hiker who got into difficulty and was stuck in a ravine.

The hiker, a 51-year-old man, was found “tired and disorientated” after he was reported missing following a hike in Los Carrizales, a region close to where Slater was last seen.
