Spain’s economy grew 0.4% in second quarter of 2023

Spain’s gross domestic product grew by zero point four percent in the second quarter.

The figures show that Spain has surpassed its pre-pandemic activity level for the first time, while the United Kingdom was the only major country that had not recovered its pre-pandemic activity level.

Germany’s recovery was modest, and the Eurozone as a whole showed a two point seven percent recovery.

Ten countries in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development had a quarterly contraction of their gross domestic product, including Poland, Sweden, and Colombia.

Germany remained stagnant in the second quarter, indicating its entry into a recession.
