Spain Reduces Public Deficit In 2023

Last year saw Spain’s public administrations end with a deficit of 3.66 percent of GDP, amounting to €53.6 billion.
This represents a reduction of over €10 billion or 16% from the previous year, and is notably below the 3.9% forecast submitted to the European Commission.
In a statement from the Government, they highlighted the efforts being made as a way to ensure Spain’s fiscal responsibility, as well as showcasing the countries strong post-pandemic economic recovery.
