Nearly half of all parents unaware of what children look at on mobile phones

A study published this week has found that 41% of parents in Spain do not know what their children are looking at on mobile devices.

According to the results of the “III Study on the perception of bullying in Spain”, researches said that nearly half of all childrens phones lack parental controls which can limit the content shown to minors.

The study also found that the average age for a child to get their first mobile phone was ten, which was three years below what most parents thought was the appropriate age.

Publishing the findings, it was also revealed that around 10% of all children who suffer from bullying have also been victims of cyber bullying.
