Irishman Ryan Cooney reported missing in Tenerife

An appeal has been launched to try and find a missing Irishman in the Canary Islands. 28-year-old Ryan Cooney, has gone missing in Tenerife.

He was last seen on Wednesday and the police in Tenerife have his passport.

The Department of Foreign Affairs and the Irish embassy in Madrid are providing assistance, and the National Missing Persons Helpline Ireland has shared an urgent request for information on social media.

Ryan is described as 5 foot 11, with dark hair, is normally clean shaven but might have stubble now.

He was last seen in the Paraiso del Sol apartments in Playa de las Americas, and may have significant facial bruising after being mugged whilst on the island.
