Ciudadanos elect new party leader

Ciudadanos has elected a new leader, after Inés Arrimadas announced her intention to stand down from the leadership.

Patricia Guasp becomes the new national party leader, becoming the groups third head since the centre-right party was formed in 2006.

Her election came at the end of the party’s 6th General Assembly, where political policies were approved ahead of the scheduled General Election later this year.

Alongside the new leadership, the party has also launched a new logo, retaining the orange whilst including a green background.

As well as the election of party leader, Adrián Vázquez was also appointed general secretary.
