Two Spaniards missing after Hamas attack in Israel

The Foreign Minister has confirmed that two Spaniards, a nineteen-year-old woman and a forty-six-year-old man, have gone missing following the attack by Hamas in Israel at the weekend.

Minister of Foreign Affairs – José Manuel Albares – confirmed that only two Spaniards were understood to be unaccounted for following the attacks at the weekend.

In an update from the department for Foreign Affairs, they confirmed that the woman was serving in the Israeli armed forces and had family in Seville, whilst the man lives in Kissufim with his Israeli wife.

Diplomatic sources estimate that there are around ten thousand Spaniards in Israel and the Palestinian Territories, many of whom are people with dual nationality.
