Tourist numbers in Spain rose by 10 million, compared to 2020, according to data released this week by national statistics agency – INE.

28.2 million visitors came to Spain last year, spending €31.2 billion in the country.

The most popular destination nationwide was the Canary Islands, with Catalonia and Andalucia topping the three most popular destinations.

Tourists mostly came from the United Kingdom and Germany, with France in third place as origin of visitors to the country.
