PowerOn Gold Weather warnings issued for high temperatures

Temperatures are set to rise sharply across much of the country.
Protection Civil has warned of a spell of very high and persistent temperatures affecting the Peninsula and Balearic Islands.
On Thursday, temperatures could reach 42 degrees in the Guadalquivir valley, with 40 degrees possible across other southern valleys.
The authorities are also warning of an increased risk of wildfires and possible dry afternoon thunderstorms.
