Traffic campaign targets distractions on the roads

A recent campaign by the DGT targeting driver distraction has resulted in thousands of people being fined.
The campaign, which ran from October ninth to the fifteenth saw six thousand six hundred thirty-one drivers fined for engaging in distracting actions whilst behind the wheel.
The most common offence being using a mobile phone while driving.
Other distractions included not wearing seat belts, using headphones, reading, searching for objects, getting distracted by passengers, and eating while driving.
