Towns in Navarra flooded after river bursts banks
Written by on 10 January 2022
Towns in part of Navarra were flooded yesterday after rains caused the Arakil River to burst it’s banks, flooding roads and buildings.

Heavy rains caused river levels to rise along with an already saturated ground, with streets in Belagua and La Barranca being submerged. Landslides and fallen trees also added to the situation.
The regional government has initiated it’s flood management programme, with concerns that flood levels will rise as more water flows downstream.
