Storm Herminia Affects Spain with Hurricane-Force Winds and Heavy Rainfall

Storm Herminia has brought hurricane force winds of over one hundred kilometres per hour and heavy rain to Spain, especially in Galicia.
The region has recorded wind gusts of one hundred and sixty two kilometres per hour.
Meteorological agency Aemet issued an ongoing red alert in the region, which will remain in place until Tuesday, with waves expected to reach up to ten metres high.
Most of the Iberian peninsular is under either amber or yellow alerts today, as the storm makes it’s way across the country.
Travel disruptions continue across the country due to the bad weather.
