Storm Aline To Bring Heavy Rain, Strong Winds, And Snow To Spain
Written by on 19 October 2023
Storm Aline, the first named storm of the season in southwestern Europe, will bring heavy rain, strong winds, and the first snowfall of autumn to Spain.
The storm will affect the whole Iberian peninsular and the Balearics, with adverse conditions primarily in the central, southern, and north-western regions.

Aemet has issued amber and yellow weather alerts for most of today due to the passage of the storm across the country.
Precautions are advised due to possible localised flooding, as well as winds with gusts over eighty kilometres per hour.
Coastal areas will experience adverse conditions with winds of fifty to eighty kilometres per hour and waves up to four meters.
The first snowfall of the year is also anticipated in mountainous areas of the north and the Pyrenees.
