Pope travels to Barcelona as tour continues

Pope Leo XIV placed mental health at the centre of his message during a youth vigil in Barcelona.

He told thousands gathered at the Sagrada Família that emotional wellbeing must be treated with dignity and supported by families, schools and communities.

The vigil formed part of his visit to Spain, which continued in Catalonia ahead of further events planned for Wednesday.

Tomorrow he is due to visit the Brians 1 prison, recite the Rosary at Montserrat, have lunch with the Benedictine community, meet charity and welfare groups at Sant Agustí, and celebrate Mass at the Sagrada Família, including the inauguration of the tower of Jesus Christ.
