Health emergency chief, Fernando Simon, tests positive for COVID-19

The director of the Center for Coordination of Health Alerts and Emergencies, Dr. Fernando Simón, has tested positive for coronavirus and is in home isolation.
He was tested on Sunday night after developing symptoms of the virus, but is understood to be in good health.

His deputy – Dr. María José Sierra – announced the news on Monday morning. Dr. Simon is awaiting a second test to confirm if he COVID-19.
