Former judge summoned over over actions against other judge

A judge investigating the so-called Leire Díez case has summoned former judge Luis Sáenz de Tejada to appear as a person under investigation on the 28th of October.

The National Court inquiry concerns an alleged scheme to interfere with legal proceedings involving the Socialist Party and the Government.

Investigators suspect Sáenz de Tejada was involved in alleged actions against judge Beatriz Biedma, who investigated the Prime Minister’s brother, David Sánchez.

The allegations remain under investigation and have not been proven in court, and all deny any wrongdoing.
