PowerOn Gold Tributes paid after death of British chef announced in Tenerife

Tributes have been paid to British chef Ian Brooks, whose death on the island of Tenerife was announced yesterday morning.
Mr. Brooks was the head chef at the Empire Restaurant in the resort of Playa de las Americas, and had been with the eatery for over 11 years.
A charity fundraising page has been set up in his memory, with hundreds of people making a donation.
In a statement from his workplace, they announced that following his funeral today, a memorial gathering will take place in Los Cristianos in the afternoon.
