Film and TV production in Tenerife generates millions to local economy

The appearance of the Canary Islands on the silver screen has received a boost, after it was announced this week that Tenerife hosted over 150 film and TV shoots last year.
In total there were 750 days worth of filming carried out by various film crews over the last twelve months, generating €20 million for the local economy.
Most of the productions came from Spain, Germany and the UK, with studios including Netflix basing productions on the island.
