Written by sjames on 21 February 2024
Spain’s economy has seen a two point five percent growth in 2023, according to the OECD, making it the third fastest growing economy last year.
This growth rate is considerably higher than the eurozone’s average of 0.5% and the OECD’s overall growth of 1.6%.
The expansion marks a slowdown from a nearly 6% growth in 2022, illustrating a global trend of deceleration as the OECD indicated a ‘weak’ growth among its members over the past two years.
Spain’s performance is particularly noteworthy as it advanced five times more than the eurozone average, reflecting its resilience amidst a challenging global economic environment.
