Regional Elections: Investigation launched over Melilla postal voter fraud

Investigators in Melilla have opened a case over concerns of voter fraud.
Policia Nacional have said in a statement that they belive up to 10,000 votes were bought by postal votes, which could return up to a third of all returned candidates in the city.
Investigators have said they have raised suspicons surrounding between 30 to 40 people, following a sudden increase in applications for postal voting ahead of the 28th May regional elections.
Following concerns, the Provincial Electoral Board has agreed to ensure that ballot envelopes are only delivered to those who can prove their identity using some form of photo ID. Those who have nominated a proxy vote will only be provided with a voting form on the express consent of the returning officer.
