Pope Leo XIV continues his visit to Spain today, as the focus shifts from Madrid to Barcelona.
The weekend brought major public events in the capital, followed by a full day of political and church meetings on Monday, setting out the themes of the trip — social inclusion, migration and dialogue.
In Barcelona, the Pope will visit the Sagrada Família and meets migrants and refugees supported by local organisations.
He also joins an interfaith gathering, bringing together Christian, Jewish and Muslim leaders for a message of cooperation and shared responsibility.
The Vatican says today’s programme highlights Barcelona’s role as a meeting point for cultures and communities.
Later in the week, the Pope travels to Gran Canaria and Tenerife for further public events and meetings with volunteers and community groups.
