National Cybersecurity Plan due to be presented in coming weeks

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has said that the Government plans to approve the National Cybersecurity Plan in the coming weeks, calling it the “most ambitious scheme to date in this area.”

The proposals will see the creation of a national Cybersecurity Centre, as well as state level monitoring of potential malicious attacks on government and state agencies and bodies.

117 experts in the field, as well as parts of the public sector helped create the proposals, which are expected to be brought to a vote in the coming weeks.
