Mask wearing rules relaxed after Government approval
Written by on 19 April 2022
Regulations surrounding the wearing of masks indoors have been relaxed, after government ministers approved proposals announced last month.

Minister of Health – Carolina Darias – confirmed that from today the wearing of masks indoors will be at the discretion of the owner of the premises, with requirements to wear masks remaining in place for health settings and public transport.
Face coverings will still be required on busses, trains, aircraft, taxis, ships and light rail and tram systems, as well as in health centres, pharmacies and residential care homes.
Whilst announcing the formal changes to the rules, Minister Darias did call for people to remain responsible, and to bear in mind those who may still be at risk.
