PowerOn Gold The use of face masks is now mandatory, following a rise in flu, Covid-19 and Respiratory syncytial virus cases.
The Ministry of Health announced the measure due to what is being called a “tri-demic surge”.
Health Minister – Monica Garcia – defended the measure after a number of regions opposed the mandatory approach to mask enforcement – even though medical bodies supported the action.
Those entering a health centre or hospital will be required to wear a mask until they leave, with the rules in place for the next few weeks.
