Sanchez to meet party leaders to discuss state of emergency

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez is to meet opposition party leaders today to discuss ongoing legislation over the state of alarm, and it’s eventual end.
The PSOE leader is due to hold conference calls this morning with representatives of Junts per Catalunya, Más País, Compromís and BNG. This afternoon he will hold meetings with Ciudadanos leader Inés Arrimadas.

Meetings with other parties are expected to last until Friday. Currently no date has been set for discussions with the leader of the opposition, PP’s Pablo Iglesias. Vox has also said it will not enter into discussion with the coalition government.
The coalition Government has announced that it will present plans for a minimam vital income today.
Minister for social security and inclusion – José Luis Escrivá – said the legistalton will be passed through the congress of deputies in the coming days.
Up to 100,000 single-parent households will be among the beneficiaries of the new relief.
