Curfew restrictions to be lifted across most of Catalonia
Written by on 20 August 2021
The High Court of Justice in the Catalan region has lifted a curfew imposed across most of the region, following a legal request to extend restirction by the regional government.
In the ruling, they said that the curfew conditions were not justified for 129 munincipalities out of the 148 which were under restriction.
Now only part of the north east of the region remains under curfew, whilst the rest – including Barcelona – will no longer be under curfew restrictions once the current period comes to an end.
The news came as the infection rate continues to fall, with the incidence rate falling to 360 cases per 100,000 people on average nationwide.
