Calls for clarity over conflicting entry requirement advice
Written by on 8 April 2022
People have issued a call for a simplifaction to guidance, after the Spanish tourist board in London issued an apology after posting incorrect information regarding unvaccinated British travellers.
On Wednesday, the board announced a change to entry requirements for those who had not received a coronavirus vaccine.
“We apologise unreservedly for the miscommunication earlier today which was due to a misunderstanding of the new entry requirements.”
Pedro Medina, deputy director of the Spanish Tourist Office in the UK
However the guidance was revised within hours, calling the mistake a “misinterpretation of the rules”.
Now travellers are calling for clarity due to conflicting reports ahead of the Easter holiday period.
