Written by on June 25, 2021

The Government has confirmed that the wearing of masks where it is safe to do so will no longer be mandatory from tomorrow.

The Council of Ministers approved the change in the law regarding the wearing of masks after an extraordinary meeting held at the Moncloa yesterday.

Health Minister Carolina Darias outlined the new rules, stating that masks will no longer be compulsory outdoors where social distancing of 1.5 metres can be maintained, or where people are seated.

Those who cannot maintain social distancing or are indoors will however be required to keep wearing a mask.
