Coronavirus: First Janssen vaccines distributed across Spain
Written by on April 23, 2021
The first doses of the Janssen coronavirus vaccine have arrived at health centres nationwide, it was confirmed yesterday.
An initial shipment of 146,000 doses of the single-shot drug arrived in Spain last week, but were held in storage whilst medicines regulators studied research into concerns over blood clots.
Yesterday nearly half a million injections were administered nationwide, as the vaccination process continues to gather pace.
Health officials have said that they still expect to have around half the adult population innoculated against the coronavirus before the end of July, with currently nearly 21% receiving their first jab.
