Coronavirus: Concerns rise over infection rates and hospitalisation numbers

Concerns over the increase in the number of coronavirus infections and hospital admissions are starting to increase following on from the first weekend of curfew restriction in a number of regions across the country.
Parts of Valencia and Catalonia, as well as a number of towns in Cantabria were again under curfew restrictions, with large numbers of people being moved from public spaces overnight.
In a press statement issued yesterday afternoon, Catalan regional health authority leader Gemma Craywinckel, warned that intensive care units in the region may reach capacity in the coming fortnight, saying that the region was late to react to the latest wave of infections.
