Small number of tourists criticised for breaking emergency virus laws

A small number of British tourists however have faced severe criticism, after a number were found to be breaching the emergency laws.

On the Costa Blanca in Benidorm, around 50 British tourists were seen chanting at police officers after being instructed to return to their hotels.

Yesterday a woman was arrested in Tenerife for swimming in a pool after being instructed not to by police. She was arrested and taken into custody.

Those caught breaking the law could face a prison sentence or a fine of up to €600,000.
