Canaries and Balearic’s should be exempt from quarantine – Tourism Minister Reyes Maroto

Tourism Minister Reyes Maroto has said that the UK should exempt tourists to the Canary and Balearic islands from any quarantine measures.
In a statement issued on Monday, she insisted it was safe for holidaymakers to visit the popular destinations.
It comes after Spain was added to the UK’s quarantine list from midnight on Saturday with just a few hours’ warning.
Currently, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office advises against all but essential travel to mainland Spain.
The Canary and Balearic Islands are not included in this – though UK travelers returning from them still need to quarantine for two weeks.
