The Canarian Government has announced a new insurance scheme that will provide travel assistance to all tourists who visit the islands in the event of an incident concerning the Coronavirus.
In a signing ceremony with the head of AXA Seguros in the Canary Islands and risk management firm EM7, the Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce of the Canary Islands Government, Yaiza Castilla, outlined the complimentary policy – the first of its type in Spain.
The Government backed policy covers situations such as medical expenses, health repatriation and prolongation of stays due to quarantine.
