Canarian electricity consumption falls 4.4% compared to 2020

Demand for electricity in the Canaries fell by 4.4% last month compared to the year before, according to energy supplier Red Eléctrica.
Overall, the archipelago consumed 652,120 MWh this year. Compared to seasonally adjusted 2019 figures that fall is even further, coming in at a decrease of 12.4%.
The data also stated that 17.6% of all energy consumed on the islands came from renewable and carbon neutral sources.
