Worker come to agreement over Nissan closures

Workers at Nissan factories in Catalonia have approved the agreement made between management and unions over the planned closure of the three plants in the region.
After three months of strikes and 36 hours of negotiations, unions and representatives came to an agreement on Wednesday afternoon. the terms of the closures were approved by the majority of workers in a vote held yesterday afternoon.
The plants will now not close until the end of 2021, with an improved severance package for workers. 2,525 staff at the plants will lose their jobs.
