Weather warning for strong winds issued for Costa Blanca

Amber and Yellow weather warnings have been issued for the Costa Blanca today as storm force winds are expected across the region.

Potentially damaging gusts of up to 90km/h have been forecast, bringing with it rough seas and waves in excess of 3 metres height.

People are being advised to avoid coastal and exposed areas, and not to bathe in the sea until the winds have passed.

Alerts are in place until midnight tonight.
