The Ayuntamiento de Alicante has started the installation of thermal cameras in their offices across the region.
21 of the camera systems are to be installed in key points in council offices in the coming days in an effort lower the spread of the coronavirus.
Anyone who is displaying a temperature higher than 37oC will trigger an alarm and may not be allowed to enter the premises. Those who only slightly exceed the temperature will be allowed to rest in a cool room before having their temperature taken again. Should someone however have a high fever, they would be advised to contact their doctor.
