PSOE and Podemos move towards agreement over investiture vote
Written by on June 11, 2019
Political solutions are starting to form ahead of the forthcoming investiture vote for PSOE leader Pedro Sanchez to be elected as Prime Minister.
In a day of meetings held at the Moncloa yesterday, PSOE and Podemos have agreed to negotiation over a “cooperation government” between both parties – stopping short of a formal coalition.
However other opposition parties, including PP and Ciudadanos have said that they will vote down any investiture vote rather than abstain.
Pedro Sanchez met with Pablo Iglesias yesterday to launch formal discussions over the formation of a future government.
