PP senator resigns after being summoned for court case

A Partido Popular member of the Senate has resigned from his post after being summoned by a judge in an anti-corruption case.
In a further scandal to affect the conservative party in Spain, senator David Erguido has been summoned to appear before a judge investigating Operación Púnica on the 23rd October.
Mr Erguido voluntarily stood down from his position, and denies any wrongdoing in the case.
