Number of cyber-crimes increases 36% last year

Over 200,000 cyber-crimes were detected in Spain last year, according to data released by security forces at the weekend.
Policia Nacional, Guardia Civil and regional police forces recorded a total of 218,302 reported incidents of illegal activity involving hacking or attempted data or identity theft.
The figures show an increase of 36% compared to 2018. People are being reminded to maintain their computers anti-virus software, and always to be cautious of emails or text messages asking for personal details.
