Government comes to agreement over job retention with Airbus

The Government has reached an agreement with aeronautical giant Airbus which is hoped will reduce the planned number of job losses in the Spanish sector.
In a meeting held yesterday with the Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez, and the CEO of Airbus Guillaume Faury, they discussed the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the aviation sector, and sought plans that would mitigate the damage caused by the pandemic.
The Government has announced it intends to purchase a number of aircraft from the consortium, whilst also promoting the nationwide Aeronautical Technology Plan, which will focus on developing aviation skills and technology in the country.
