Violence has returned to the streets of Barcelona after a number of days of calm.
At least 10 people were arrested after peaceful marches calling for the release of jailed rapper Pablo Hasel turned violent over the weekend, with similar scenes in other parts of Catalonia.
Officers also said they apprehended a group trying to set a police van on fire.
The rapper was jailed for social media posts supporting a now-defunct terrorist group which was responsible for the killing of over a 1,000 people in Spain.
