Trials to begin in Spring of Spanish coronavirus vaccine

Scientists at CSIC-Biofabri have said that they are hoping to begin clinical trials of their coronavirus vaccine in the coming months after successful pre-trials.

In a statement issued this week, the team behind the vaccine have said they will launch initial trials on just over a 100 volunteers in the spring after tests showed 100% efficacy in mice.

The new vaccine is hoped to provide further protections against Covid-19, with it reducing transmission and lethality in animal trials already undertaken.
