Written by on June 24, 2020
The number of outbreaks of the coronavirus nationwide has risen to 39 since the start of the de-escalation – an increase of three in the last few days.
Of those cases, 13 are now still active, resulting in over a thousand people being infected and 300 currently being treated or monitored for Covid-19.
The news came as regional authorities in Madrid have prohibited visits to 44 nursing homes in the region, after positive tests were detected in both staff and patients.
The Ministry of Health has said that detection rates are now higher due to increases in testing, and all the current clusters are under control.
