Coronavirus: 13,000 vaccination centres to be opened nationwide

Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has announced the creation of 13,000 vaccination centres nationwide, as plans gather momentum for the roll out of a coronavirus vaccine.
Mr Sanchez made the statement after appearing at this years virtual G20 summit, where he called for universal access for coronavirus vaccines and for members to support where they can the World Health Organisation.
In his statement he said that he expected a significant proportion of the population will receive the inoculation, stating that tens of millions get the flu jab each year.
On Saturday, Health Minister Salvador Illa said he expected the programme of vaccinations to begin in January.
Meanwhile the Junta de Andalucía has decided to extend it’s regional restrictions including the closure of its internal border. Restrictions will now remain in place until the 10th December.
