BRITISH TOURISTS TO RETURN TO UK IMMEDIATELY – FCO

The British Foreign and Commonwealth office has said that British tourists who are still abroad should make immediate plans to return to the UK.
My message to British people travelling abroad: As borders around the world close and international travel becomes more difficult, you are strongly advised to return to the UK now, where & while there are still commercial travel options available. Keep up to date with @FCOtravel

In a statement issued last night, they said that the time to return was now whilst commerical flights were still available.
The statement goes on to say that tourists should contact their travel company now, and to follow advice issued on their social networks and websites – https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-advice-novel-coronavirus [icon name=”external-link” class=”” unprefixed_class=””]
Last night the official number of cases in Spain stood at 33,089 with 2,207 people known to have died. However more patients have now recovered from hospital treatment – 3,355 people have now been discharged from medical care.

Concerns however about the virus in care homes continues, with more home reporting cases.
Meanwhile data about patients and cases are being released. 48% of confirmed cases are aged over 60, whilst 51% of them are male. The majority of deaths – just under 18% – are aged 80 and over.
